Description
This country sunset was taken on a cold crisp January evening in Jasper, Georgia. Jasper is on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia just far enough away to be withdrawn from the bussel of the busy city life. This mountain sunset was taken on a country farm with the barn and farm animals scattered in the pasture. It had been very cloudy all evening and the clouds were breaking up as the sun fell in the western sky. The pastel colors gave the sky that nice relaxing mood. Blue sky lay beneath the clouds that were reflecting an almost pink glow high, but the yellow, orange and purple radiating from the horizon really makes the photo. The leafless tree in the right corner just adds the cold, wintery look of the scene.
